Here's What Your Pergola Can Look Like

Frequently Asked Questions

How much will my pergola cost?

All of our pergolas are built with heavier cedar timber that costs around $70 per square foot. So, if you’d want a 24’x11′ pergola, this would come out at around $22,000.

For a more accurate price, please request a quote. Ballparking the cost without knowing the actual scope of work never turns out great.

How fast can you build and install my pergola?

It takes us anywhere from 1 to 3 days to build a custom wood pergola, once all the materials are on site.

However, timelines might be affected by weather. You’ll get an accurate timeline for your project and we can guarantee we’ll stay within that frame.

Can you also install prefabricated pergolas?

We do, but prefab pergola installations won’t get high priority on our schedule. We prefer to design and build our own pergolas, but if there is a slot available in our schedule, we will happily install your prefabricated pergola.

Can you attach a pergola to my house?

In most cases, yes. Attached pergolas are common and work well when the home’s structure can support the load. We’ll check your wall framing, roofline, and connection points to make sure it’s safe.

Do pergolas require a building permit?

As a pergola is usually not attached to your house, it’s unlikely we’ll need a permit. However, if the city requires one, we’ll apply and make sure we’ll get it for you, so you don’t have to do any back and forth with the paperwork.

What materials would you use on a high-end pergola?

The most cost-efficient and accessible material for a pergola here in Northern Texas is cedar. Because it is always available, this makes it very affordable and easy to buy.

Pressure-treated wood is more attractive because of the lower price, but much less durable than the naturally resistant cedar.

For roofs, we can do Suntuf Polycarbonate sheets, metal, wood, cloth, PVC and various other materials. Depending on your needs and budget, we’ll help you choose the right roof.

Will I get a warranty on my pergola building project?

Yes! You’ll get our Texas size warranty which covers 10 year structural, 3 year electrical and HVAC, and 1 year cosmetic warranty.
